Modele Philippines partners with F1 Hotel Manila – 2nd go see event.

A significant event just happened between Model Philippines and F1 Hotel at Bonifacio Global City as they held the second “go see” in the search for the next model of influence. Headed by Renee Salud, Board Member of Modele Philippines, Adele Valdecañas Operations Director of Zen Institute, Raphael Kiefer President of Professional Models Association of the Philippines, together with the Director of Sales and Marketing of F1 Hotel BGC, Modele Philippines inked recently their partnership between F1 Hotel for being one of the official partner hotels of the event and will now be part of the journey of search for the next model of influence.

Now that they are turning 30 years in the industry, the Professional Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP), a model’s organization run by models themselves, decided to create a model-type pageant in looking for fresh and new blood In the industry. Known as Modele Philippines , it aims to create new names of young and aspiring wannabe models in the country.

Current PMAP President Raphael Kiefer told us during a go-see event in F1 Hotel in Bonifacio Global City, that they are limiting the contestant to only 10 males and 10 females who will make it to the final night on September 1 at the Sofitel Hotel in Manila. The price for the winners is yet to be determine since the pageant is in progress and  a nationwide search, reaching as far as Cebu and Davao City.

“If you look back the PMAP history, there is a certain model we are looking for, not necessarily the most beautiful face, but the quintessential model that represents the Filipino, puede dyan ang meztiso, pero kailangan may Filipino blood and base here, we do not take foreign or fly-in models, we are looking for the next big Filipino models who are home grown, made in the Philippines.” Kiefer said.

After two screenings in Taguig City, Modele will conduct  the same go-see search in Davao City on  July 31 to August 1, followed by a 2nd one in  Cebu on August 7 and 8.

Aside from F1 Hotel, Modele is also in partnership with Zen Institute, Marco Polo Hotels, Hotel Sofitel, Golden Phoenix Hotel, Jetsetter Asia, and Village Connect.

“The main difference of Modele with other  search is career,” added Kiefer. “We are not thinking  that you are just the winners, but you are part of PMAP, and you will always be part of PMAP. And PMAP itself is your mentor that goes back since 1987, who can really hone the model, build them up so they can have a long, long career. Not just here, even in the region, even in the bigger market like America, Europe.”

During the second go-see, among who tred to auditions were some showbiz royalties like the son and daughter of former actress Monica Herrera and action star Jeric Raval, Janina and Joseph Herrera. Vicente Lopes Valdes is also one who tried his luck, he is the son of broadcaster Kata Inocencio.  Former Bb.Pilipinas contestant Kristine Estoque was also one of the head turners on that screening process. Let’s see soon if they make it to the Top Ten finalists.

Kiefer, along with Salud, and other PMAP officers and members served as board of judges during the go-see. PMAP is the very first in Asia as the only organization of models, and  membership is by invitation only.
