Appstart Academy – putting the Philippines on the APP MAP!

A Blessed day to all!

Appstart Academy is a new school for aspiring IOS developers. This kind of process helps Techie people learn to publish IOS Apps in 12 weeks. It will guide them thru the whole process from concept to code, all the way to debugging the app to publish before graduation time. Once training is done, there are options to join the IOS Developers team or be a freelancer.

After graduating the academy, the graduate will be called “appreneur”. They could publish their own designed app to the Apple store and make some profit.

“It is more than just a school, it is a place where barriers are broken and goals are reached. Where visionaries can finally make their ideas happened, where everything can now be applied to something actual and workable.” Apps rule today!

To date, there are 1.5 million apps on IOS, and another million on Android. Though we have more users on Android, the Apple App store is generating more revenue.

Appstart Academy was a pioneering company. It was formally launched through a Press Conference on July 22, 2016 at Makati Shangri- La Hotel in Makati City. The event was led by founder and CEO, Ann Villar Jacobe, together with her co-founder and CTO – Lyndon Cruz, as well as the other team members that made up Appstart Academy.

Most of the app development success stories happened outside the Philippines, so it gives us pride and joy to finally have a local initiative that aims to fill up the absence in app development training in the country. It is about time to put the Philippines in the mAPP!

The said event was attended by media like – bloggers and neophyte journalists who are managing an on line websites.

Questions were raised on how to establish the business, and the background of the company. We also learned about the Apprentice program in the academy. The Academy’s vision is to recognize the talent of the individual. They want to help those who want to get started and how to establish their respective goals. The CEO decided to come up with the “Learn Now, Pay Later or Join Us” option to accommodate those who have the passion to learn  .

Apportunity Initiative is Appstart Academy’s own way of supporting and encouraging women to be active in tech and the app development scenario. Through it, headstrong women in tech can be sponsored by willing financiers, companies and foundations. Given the proper funding and support, every determined woman can finally be given the chance to learn and become prime movers in the tech world.

Appstart Academy is open to most kinds of collaborations, especially investment opportunities, so it can help them fully realize their vision of bridging the gap between you and your dreams through innovative app development ideas.

Congratulations to Appstart Academy for this new venture. Great potential for a great future in IOS app development. I believe this will put the Philippines in the APP MApp. And Who knows? the next Steve Jobs or Steve Wozniak will be discovered from the next batches of AppStart Academy.
